				KELOWNA, BC- Just one night after the Alaska 
				Goldpanners of Fairbanks won a 1-0 game in Kenai, their sister 
				team fell in defeat by the same manner.

				

				Thomas Hoenshell pitched 7 2/3 innings of 
				brilliant ball, but gave up three straight hits to his last 
				three batters, the final an RBI single to Dwight Tanaka as the 
				Goldpanners fell 1-0 in the third game of a three game set to 
				the Kelowna Falcons, in Kelowna, BC.

				

				Colt Farrar got the win for Kelowna, and was 
				equally impressive on the mound, scattering six hits in a 
				complete game effort for the home team. 

				

				Despite Farrar’s dominance, the Goldpanners 
				had their chances offensively, but ran themselves out of several 
				big opportunities to score. 

				

				The top of the 5th inning started with both Austin 
				Wooldridge and Taylor Hunter reaching. But just as quickly there 
				were two outs, as Wooldridge was gunned down at third on a 
				failed sacrifice bunt attempt, and Hunter caught stealing a 
				pitch later. Tristan Metcalf started out the 8th 
				inning with a single, but was then picked off by Farrar.

				

				Maybe, the best chance for the Goldpanners 
				came in the 7th inning, one in which they didn’t even 
				get a hit. Mykal Stokes and Wooldridge both reached base by 
				error, but with one out, Farrar got the next two batters to 
				strike out, ending the threat.

				

				Hoenshell was the hard luck loser, as he gave 
				up just four hits, and the one earned run, striking out five. 
				Derek Speigner came out to get the final Kelowna out of the 8th 
				inning.

				

				After taking two of three games in Kelowna, 
				the Midnight Sun Goldpanners will be back on the road Thursday 
				morning, as they head back to the United States to play the 
				Spokane RiverHawks in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho.
