When you start Windows for the first time, there is a plain, teal green background to the screen. You can change it to a graphical background called wallpaper.   The Goldpanner wallpaper images are set for screen sizes of both 1024x768 and 800x600.  To check your screen size, right-click the desktop, and then click Properties.  On the Settings tab, your screen size information is listed.  Most computers will fit pics to match the size of your desktop.

Directions for Desktop Installation:

Windows

1. Click on the resolution for your monitor to view the image of the wallpaper you want.

2. Once the image loads, right-click on the image.

3. From the pop-up menu, select "Set as Wallpaper."

Macintosh

1. Click on the resolution for your monitor to view the image of the wallpaper you want.

2. Once the image loads, click your mouse button and hold it on the image to bring up a pop-up menu, then choose a convenient place to save the image and save it.

3. Under the Apple menu, go to Control Panels and select Appearance.

4. In your Appearance control panel, click the tab marked "Desktop."

5. Click "Place Picture" (if you already have another picture as your desktop image, click "Remove Picture" first, then "Place Picture"). Use the dialog box to locate and open the wallpaper image you downloaded.

6. Click "Set Desktop" and close the control panel.
