• Dixon Jay Allen, son of Lindee and Dixon Allen, was born on July 10, 1984 in Sacramento, California.  His hometown is Citrus Heights, CA.
• Allen played high school baseball at Casa Roble for Coach Jerry Crews where he was a 1st team All-League selection and played football and basketball as well. 

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played two years of baseball and one year of football at Sacramento City College. He was a pitcher on the baseball team and a kicker on the football team. He went 1-3 with a 3.93 ERA and three saves last season. Allen appeared in 16 games, all but one in relief, and struck out 33 and walked 11 in 33 innings of work.

HIGH SCHOOL: Allen played baseball and football at Casa Roble High. In baseball he earned all-league honors and played in the Optimist All-Star Game. He also earned all-league honors as a junior. He played both linebacker and kicker for the Rams’ football team.

PERSONAL: Allen was born on July 10, 1984 to Dixon and Lindee Allen in Sacramento. He has two sisters, both collegiate softball players. Kristen played softball at the University of the Pacific, while Ashley plays at the University of New Mexico. Allen lists his hobbies as fishing, camping and poker.  He is majoring in Kinesiology.
