High School: Four-year starter at Episcopal High School as a pitcher for Mike Jones...as a senior, he missed the majority of the season due to Tommy John surgery but helped lead the Eagles to a 3A state championship...was invited to the West Coast Area Code Game but could not play due to injury...as a junior, he was named team MVP after leading the squad with a 1.82 ERA and 72 strikeouts in 61.1 innings...set a school record with 16 strikeouts against Clay High School...as a sophomore, he finished with a 2.53 ERA and 31 strikeouts in 38.2 innings...as a freshman, he tallied a 2.76 ERA with 22 strikeouts in 32 innings...also played one year of football as a quarterback and linebacker...teammates with current Dolphin Chuck Opachich.

Personal: Born Oct. 7, 1987, in Jacksonville, Fla...son of Nick Andrew and Teresa DiFranza...has a brother, Ben; and two sisters: Ashley and Emma...father, Nick, played baseball at Seminole CC...proposed major is dentistry.
