23 years at Treasure Valley Community College Chuckars Head Coach, Ontario, Oregon.
After 14 years as the head baseball coach, made the transition from head coach to taking over the athletic department as Athletic Director at TVCC.
His overall record of 358 wins and 288 losses includes two Scenic West Athletic Conference Championships.
In 1990 Baumann led the Chukars to the District Championship and an automatic berth to the NJCAA World Series in Grand Junction, Colorado.
In 1990 and 1992 Baumann was named Region 18 and District Coach of the Year.
Baumann started his coaching career in 1971, assisting Bill Derham with the Pocatello Rebels American Legion baseball team.
Baumann took over as the Rebels head coach in 1973 and promptly led the Gate City club to its first ever State Championship.
In 1991, Baumann had the opportunity to work with some of the best collegiate players in the country when he was selected as the Head Coach of the West Team for the Olympic Trials in Homestead, Florida.
Baumann has also coached in the prestigious Alaskan summer
league and in 1994 led the Alaska Goldpanners to a 35-19 record, including a
league championship and an Anchorage Bucs Tournament title.
