Reid Hamblet (04) Engagement to Camille Locy

Engagement: Locy - Hamblet

Frank and Camille Locy of Olympia are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Samantha Locy, to Reid Hamblet, son of Karen & Dennis Hamblet of Olympia.

Samantha is a graduate of Capital High School and received her B.A. from Western Washington University. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Optometry at the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, CA and will graduate in 2008.

Reid is a graduate of Olympia High School and attended BIOLA University in La Mirada, CA. He is currently employed by the Baltimore Orioles.

The couple met in California after being introduced long distance by their Young Life leaders, Chris & Julie Woods of Olympia.

A November 21, 2006 wedding is planned in Oahu, Hawaii, to be followed by a December reception in Olympia.

2004: Went 8-4 as a Sophomore for Biola with a 3.45 ERA and was named to the All-Conference Team.
JULY 12, 2004 - "Most of the two-strike pitches were well in the zone," said Hamblet, who struck out the side in the first inning, and recorded 10 strikeouts total in seven full innings of work, before closer Ryan Shaver came in to pitch the final two innings, while striking out five more Fire hitters. "If they get a few hits it just means you're being aggressive, and you can do that when you get a big lead to work with. I think everybody who goes out there to pitch, who throws strikeouts, that's what they're trying to do. You feel the best when you watch that guy just walk back to the dugout."

In 2 innings of relief against Azusa Pacific, Hamblet gave up 4 hits and 1 earned run while striking out 4. In the second game of a 2-game Biola sweep of Somona St., Hamblet threw a complete-game scattering 5 hits and not allowing an earned run. He also struck out 5."
