Started 53 games, 31 at catcher and 22 in the outfield...hit .326 with a team-leading 48 RBI, 32 walks and 20 doubles, while adding 33 runs, five homers, and 13 stolen bases...led the team with 14 multiple RBI games...had 19 multiple hit games...went 9-for-15 in a four-game week vs. HPU and UH-Hilo (2/17-22), adding nine RBI, four runs, one homer, two doubles and three stolen bases to earn WAC Player of the Week honors...had back-to-back 3-for-4 games vs. Florida International (2/13 and 2/14) with a combined five RBI and three runs...earned all Rainbow Baseball Tournament honors after hitting .308 with three doubles, five RBI and three runs in four games...went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in UH's big win over Rice (5/8)...was 3-for-5 with three RBI, a double and a homer at San Jose State (5/29) ...had a six-game hitting streak with three multiple hit games from 3/25-4/4 with four doubles and six RBI.

Started seven games at catcher, 23 games in the outfield and four at DH...hit a team-high .339 with 24 RBI, 26 runs and 10 doubles in just 38 games...named Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American...had 12 multi-hit games...went 4-for-4 with two doubles vs. HPU (3/11)...went 4-for-4 with three runs, one RBI and two doubles vs. Air Force (3/27) in the Easter Tournament Semifinal game...named the Easter Tournament MOP for hitting .400 with three doubles, three RBI and six runs...had a 3-for-5 game with four RBI and a double at Nevada (5/4)...went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI at Louisiana Tech (5/11).

A 2002 graduate of Mid-Pacific Institute in Honolulu...lettered under coach Dunn Muramaru in baseball and Don Botelo in football...drafted in the 41st round of the MLB amateur draft by the Boston Red Sox...earned first-team all-ILH and state position player of the year honors...named the Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Hawai`i...baseball team won the state title in 2002.
