COLLEGE: Played baseball at Irvine Valley College for head coach Kent Madole. During his freshman year there Mier batted .363 and was selected first team all league. During his sophomore year he helped his team make their first ever playoff appearance. For his accomplishments during his sophomore year he was selected first team all league, and was drafted by the Cleveland Indians.

HIGH SCHOOL: At Mater Dei High School Mier won two varsity letters, and was captain his senior year, in both baseball and football. He played baseball under coach Burt Call, and helped the team win the Serra League championship. 

PERSONAL: Born March 5, 1985 in Fontana, CA to Fausto and Leticia Mier, Jessie Mier's hobbies include, spending time with family, watching movies, playing outdoor sports, and listening to music. Mier is majoring in Criminal Justice.
