1965 MIDNIGHT SUN GAME ENDS DRAMATICALLY ON A STRIKEOUT PITCH DELIVERED BY GEORGE MIES
"To describe Monday night’s Midnight Sun game as dramatic would be the understatement of the year. It was more like the closing scene from a fabulous, but unbelievable Hollywood production.”
JUNE 21, 2004 - "Mies holds the Panners all-time record for career wins with 25, and was back on the mound Monday night to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the 10:30 P.M. game time-along with Timmons, who is playing in his eighth season with the Goldpanners, and takes over the record for most seasons played for the team, that he had shared with Mies."
