Came up in 2000 through the New York Mets' organisation and was traded in the Roberto Alomar deal to the Cleveland Indians. Riggan was up and down with the Inidans in 2002, playing in only 2 games with them in 2003 before departing for Hanshin in June 2003.

Riggan throws in the low to mid 90s, but his fastball has no movement. His splitter in the mid-80s seems to be his best pitch when he can control it. (by acedtect)
