4/26/5: Lifts Fullerton to 30-Win Season
JULY 26, 2004 - I got in a groove and I had command of all three pitches. I was mixing my pitches more effectively, and my changeup was big for me tonight. I was throwing it for strikes and getting guys to chase it out of the zone and the pitches they did hit were good pitches. I was throwing my curveball for strikes and my fastball for strikes; just trying to throw strikes, mix pitches and give us a chance to win."
Junior Scott Sarver also played critical roles in the postseason. "His numbers and our success speak for itself," Horton (81-82) said
"FULLERTON COLLEGE: Pitched one year for Nick Fuscardo at the local JC Pitched in 15 games, starting 14 of them, and accumulated 89 innings Went 6-5 with a 4.65 ERA on the year.
LOYOLA MARYMOUNT: Played one season for coach Frank Cruz Compiled a 0-2 record with a 7.89 ERA in 21.2 innings in 2002.
SOUTH HILLS H.S.: Earned two varsity letters for the West Covina-based high school Went 6-5 with a 4.65 ERA in 89 innings as a sophomore Honored with an Academic Achievement Award.
