College and pitched under coach Gabe Sandy. Wirths numbers his first
year at Mt. Hood C.C. included 14 appearances in 88 innings of work, with
an overall record of 8-2 and an ERA of 1.53. These numbers earned him 1st
team all-league, 1st team All-NWAACC and NWAACC All-tournament
honors. In 2005, Wirth continued his dominance where he went 8-1, striking
out 84 batters and holding an ERA of 2.09. In 2005, Wirth was named to the
NWAACC south region all-star team. |
