  • Reynolds HS: Lettered in Baseball - 1st team All-league and 1st Team All-State selection in Baseball.

COLLEGE: Attended Mt. Hood Community College and pitched under coach Gabe Sandy. Wirth’s numbers his first year at Mt.  Hood C.C. included 14 appearances in 88 innings of work, with an overall record of 8-2 and an ERA of 1.53.  These numbers earned him 1st team all-league, 1st team All-NWAACC and NWAACC All-tournament honors.  In 2005, Wirth continued his dominance where he went 8-1, striking out 84 batters and holding an ERA of 2.09.  In 2005, Wirth was named to the NWAACC south region all-star team. 

HIGH SCHOOL:
Graduated from Reynolds High School in 2002. Playing under coach Kelly Larkin, Wirth collected three varsity letters, two first team all-league titles, and one first team all-state pitching title. 

PERSONAL: Born May 27, 1984 in Renton, WA, Shannon Wirth is the son of John and Diane Hester. He has one brother, Mathew Wirth, and enjoys lifting weights, running, fishing, and golf. Wirth is majoring in Kinesiology.
