Parker earned his 14th win of the season after yielding only one run and seven hits while striking out six. The 25-year-old righthander, who tossed a minor league season-high 40 consecutive scoreless innings from July 18-August 8, improved his road record to 9-3. Parker, who was originally selected by the Expos in the fourth round of the 1996 draft, has the second longest streak in the league this year.
