Arizona State - Infielder, S-R ; 5-10, 180, Sophomore ; Spring Valley, CA

Brooks returns for a second year with the Panners. Hit .285 (39-for-137) with seven doubles, three triples, two home runs, 33 runs scored, and 18 RBI’s last summer. Led or tied for the team lead in several offensive categories including, at-bats, runs scored, hits, doubles, triples, walks (23) and stolen bases (12).

College: Appeared and started in all 59 games for Arizona State University, as a sophomore this spring. Hit .336 (76-for-226) with 16 doubles, four triples, 10 home runs, 72 runs scored and 67 RBI’s. Was good on 13 of 17 stolen base attempts (76%). Garnered ASU’s Jim Brock Mr. Sun Devil Award. Helped lead the Sun Devils to a 44-15 record, a share of the Pac-10 championship and a NCAA Tournament berth. In two seasons at ASU he has appeared in 104 games (started 78). Hitting .338 (108-for-320) with 20 doubles, four triples, 11 home runs and 89
RBI’s while scoring 99 runs.

High School: Lettered four years at Monte Vista High School. Team captain his junior and senior seasons. Four time selection to the all-academic team. Golden Glove winner all four years. First-team all-league three times and first team All-East County twice. Co-Player of the Year as a senior and also All-CIF that year. Named Division II Player of the Year. Holds season records at Monte Vista for runs scored (51), hits (52) and doubles (12).

Personal: Majoring in Education. Born on 1/16/80. Son of Jerry and Gail Conrad.
