Gonzaga - Pitcher/Outfielder, L-L ; 6-0, 180, Junior ; Northridge, CA

College: Was used solely as a starter at Gonzaga University as a junior this spring. Appeared in 15 games with a 9-5 record and a 5.04 ERA. Struck out 77 while walking 28 in 100.0 innings. Off the mound, appeared and started in all 53 games (45 as designated hitter, eight as right fielder). Hit .344 (75-for-218) with 17 doubles, seven home runs, 55 runs scored and 51 RBI’s. Set a school record for consecutive games with a hit at 26. Was good on all five stolen base attempts. Named to the All-West Coast Conference first team as a designated hitter. Helped lead Zags to a 28-25 record and a second place finish in the WCC’s Coast Division.

As a sophomore in 1999 he appeared in 51 games as the Zags designated hitter while gaining 14 starts on the mound. Posted 3-5 record. Honorable Mention All-WCC.

Junior College: Played at L.A. Pierce Junior College as a freshman in 1998.

High School: Attended Crespi Carmelite High School. Hit .480 as a senior and helped turn a Mission League record 15 double plays during the season. Los Angeles Times first team selection. First team All-Mission League as a senior and junior. Honorable mention All-Mission League as a sophomore.
